Data controller. WalkMe Travel ("WalkMe"), with service address at 5th Ave between 10th and 12th St, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, email walkmetravel@gmail.com, is responsible for the processing of your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
Data we collect for your booking. Full name, email and phone number (optional). If the form offers to upload a photo of your ID or your lodging confirmation, that image is kept in private storage that only WalkMe staff can access. When you pick up your bike you will be asked to physically present a valid government ID (national ID, driver's license or passport).
Holding your ID during the rental. If you choose the cash deposit, your government ID stays physically at the counter for the duration of the rental and is returned when you bring the bike back. We only record which type of document was held and the dates it was held and returned; we do not photograph it or store its contents. If you choose the card hold, we only look at your ID to match the name and we keep no documents.
Purposes. We use your data solely to: (1) manage and confirm your booking with the operators of each experience, (2) process your payment and issue your confirmation voucher, (3) contact you by email or WhatsApp about your booking, and (4) comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, nor sell or share it with third parties unrelated to your booking.
Safekeeping. Your booking data is stored in a private database accessible only to WalkMe staff. Payments are processed directly by Mercado Pago or Stripe: WalkMe never sees or stores your card details.
Retention. Booking data and your acceptance of the terms are kept for as long as the law requires. Physical documents you present at the agency are returned when you bring the bike back. You can ask us at any time to delete the photo of your ID once the rental is over.
Your rights (ARCO). You may request access, rectification, cancellation of, or objection to the processing of your data by writing to walkmetravel@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at +52 56 3974 8122. We will respond within the timeframes set by the LFPDPPP.
